Today we officially became airplane owners! After a thorough inspection, a trip to the bank, and some paper work, we were ready to take it to the skies.
The Los Angeles metropolitan airspace is extremely complicated. And as new owners we had to navigate this maze of overlapping airspace in thick afternoon smog, towards the sun, without a GPS, in an unfamiliar airplane. Luckily we didn't have to do it alone, plus SoCal Approach Control gave us a little assistance. We brought her home in less than 45 minutes of air time.
